Probably the best battered chips in Walsall, I've tried many from loads of chippies over the years in the Midlands, but none come as consistent as Jay's. The chips were fresh tasting, with a perfectly crispy batter that gives a nice crunch when you bite into the chips. The chips inside is really fluffy and just melts in the mouth. I always go here whenever I visit Walsall. 10/10. Highly recommended!

The fish and chips were great, especially the chips. The premises were very clean. I think it’s one of the few fish and chip shops where the floor is actually clean. In most of them, you could do figure skating with all the oil on the floor.

First time visiting this established take away and not disappointed. Staff trendily and order taken with approximate order availability given. Asked for chips to be separate and they obliged. Waited and was not disappointed! Chips fantastic and fish creamy with flakes. Will be back again.

Just coming out the hospital and thought I'd spoil myself with some chips. The guy serving in there was very happy and friendly. Prices were cheaper than I expected and the food was pretty good. Everything was average, but the service and cheap price knocked this up to 5 stars for me!

I was picking my daughter up from work, after a long day, decided to get a takeaway from across the rd. Food was freshly cooked and delicious and at a reasonable price. Customer service was 10/10 very friendly lovely lady. We'll definitely order again

Best chicken and chips I had in a while. Battered chips were just perfect and chicken very tasty and not greasy like everywhere else. Prices are quite low too. Definitely coming back. Don't usually post reviews but this place definitely deserves a shout out!
